Splendid colored edition, with general educational applications, pre-classroom and classroom uses, tips for professional development and other themes, including how to construct mind maps. Some suggestions could be more specific and have also examples, but it is certainly useful. You might find the author's journey interesting (section About the Author). Survey - Karen Goodnough and Robin Woods - Paper presented at the Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association of 2002.

A study on the use of mind mapping as an instructional and learning tool in a sixth-grade classroom with 16 students. Students perceived mind maps as an entertaining and interesting approach and thought that mind maps enhanced their learning. Most students preferred individual mind mapping; some preferred group mind mapping. The teacher enjoyed using mind maps and thought that it fostered student motivation in learning science.
